VixitAI HMS is the hospital and clinic management system built by VixitAi Labs. It is the largest product under the VixitAI name, and it exists to solve one specific problem: most Indian clinics run on four or five tools that do not talk to each other, so the same patient detail gets typed in four or five times.
This page walks through what each module in VixitAI HMS actually does, so you can judge whether it fits how your practice runs. The product itself is at clinic.vixitai.com.
The problem VixitAI HMS solves
A typical mid-sized Indian clinic keeps a paper register at reception, a diary or WhatsApp thread for appointments, a desktop billing package that only the accountant opens, a pharmacy running on its own stock software, and lab reports that arrive as PDFs over email. Nothing is connected.
The cost of that shows up in specific, boring ways: a patient's phone number is entered three times and is wrong in two of them; the pharmacy dispenses against a handwritten prescription it cannot read; a repeat patient's old reports cannot be found; and nobody can say how many patients came through last Tuesday without counting the register by hand.
VixitAI HMS puts all of it on one patient record. That is the whole idea — everything else is detail.
Queue and appointments
The module most clinics notice first is the live token queue. Reception issues a token; the patient can follow it on their own phone; the doctor's screen shows who is next; and the waiting-room display board shows the current token.
Tokens run continuously per doctor, so two doctors consulting in parallel each have their own sequence rather than sharing one confusing counter. There is also a multi-station flow tracker for practices where a patient moves through several points — registration, vitals, doctor, lab, pharmacy — and reception needs to know where in that journey each person currently is.
Appointments sit alongside it, with a slot engine that checks for conflicts before it books, and a public booking link a clinic can put on its own website or share directly with a patient.
EMR and patient records
Every patient has one file. Against it sit consultations, prescriptions, uploaded documents, lab results, imaging and billing history, presented as a single chronological timeline rather than as separate screens you have to cross-reference.
- Chart workspace — the doctor's consultation screen, with prescription writing that flows straight into pharmacy.
- Imaging — upload, annotate and view studies, with files encrypted at rest.
- Patient education and messaging — send instructions or follow-up material to the patient.
- Consent capture — e-signature on consent forms against the patient record.
Billing and pharmacy
Billing in VixitAI HMS is connected to the same record the doctor and the lab are writing to, which removes the usual reconciliation step at closing time. Invoices support part payments and refunds, and there is an optional letterhead mode so a bill or a prescription prints on the clinic's own stationery.
The pharmacy module tracks stock by batch and expiry. Because prescriptions arrive from the doctor's screen rather than on paper, the dispensing counter is working from the actual drug and dose rather than an interpretation of handwriting.
Lab and radiology
The lab module in VixitAI HMS is built to pathology-lab standard rather than as a simple result-entry form:
- A test master with panels, so ordering a profile expands into its component tests.
- Age-banded reference ranges, so a paediatric result is flagged against paediatric normals.
- A verification chain — a result is entered, then verified, before it can be released.
- Critical-value acknowledgement, so a dangerous result cannot be quietly filed.
- Turnaround-time tracking, referrals and send-out handling for tests you outsource.
Radiology works the same way, with reporting against the study and the report landing back on the patient's timeline.
IPD and the hospital modules
Above the clinic tier, VixitAI HMS adds inpatient capability: wards and bed management, operation-theatre scheduling, blood bank and ambulance. The Hospital plan includes 20 beds; the All-in-One plan removes the caps. If you only run OPD, none of this is in your way — modules that are not part of your plan are simply not shown.
What the patient sees
Three surfaces face the patient directly, which is unusual at this price point:
- The queue on their phone — the reason waiting rooms empty out.
- The patient app at vixitai.com/care — bookings and reports in one place.
- Public report viewing — a patient retrieves a report after an OTP check, without needing an account.
ABHA and ABDM readiness
ABDM — the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission — is India's national digital health framework, and ABHA is the health account identifier under it. VixitAI HMS includes ABHA/ABDM readiness in its plans rather than selling it as an add-on. In practice that means a clinic can link a patient's ABHA number to their record so history can move with the patient's consent when they go elsewhere.
Alerts, notifications and patient recall
A clinic system that only records things is doing half the job. VixitAI HMS pushes events out as well:
- Staff notifications — an in-app bell plus web push, so a released critical result or a new booking reaches the right person rather than waiting to be noticed.
- Patient recall — bulk import of an existing patient list from CSV or PDF, then follow-up outreach to patients who are due back. Practices sitting on years of old records usually find this is the fastest revenue in the system.
- Waiting-room and TV displays — the current token and flow board on a screen patients can see, which removes most of the "how long more?" traffic at reception.
Security and access control
Because a clinic system holds medical records, the access model matters as much as the features. VixitAI HMS is multi-tenant: every record is scoped to the clinic that owns it, and queries are filtered by tenant at the data layer rather than by the interface hiding things.
On top of that sit role-based access — a receptionist, a nurse, a doctor and a pharmacist see different screens — encryption, including imaging files encrypted at rest, and an audit log that records mutating actions so you can reconstruct who changed what. A password reset revokes existing sessions rather than leaving old logins alive, which is the specific gap that bites most small systems.
Two honest caveats: VixitAI publishes no third-party compliance certification, and the audit trail is a record, not a guarantee. If your institution requires a formal certification, ask before you buy rather than assuming.
Reporting and the daily numbers
The dashboard answers the questions that are otherwise counted by hand at closing time: how many patients came through, split by doctor; what was billed and what is outstanding; which tests were ordered; what the pharmacy dispensed and what is close to expiry. None of this is exotic, but it is the difference between running a practice on impressions and running it on numbers.

How to evaluate it
The honest way to test any clinic system is to run your actual Monday morning through it rather than a demo dataset. Three things worth checking specifically:
- Registration speed. Time how long it takes to register a walk-in and issue a token. If it is slower than your paper register, reception will quietly go back to paper.
- The pharmacy handoff. Write a prescription on the doctor's screen and see what the pharmacy counter receives.
- Report release. Enter a lab result, verify it, release it, and check the patient can actually retrieve it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is VixitAI HMS?
VixitAI HMS is a hospital and clinic management system built by VixitAi Labs. It covers patient records and EMR, appointments, a real-time token queue, billing, pharmacy, lab, radiology and a patient portal in one platform, and runs at clinic.vixitai.com.
Is VixitAI HMS suitable for a single-doctor clinic?
Yes. The entry plan (Growth, ₹1,999 per month) is scoped for a single OPD clinic and includes queue, appointments, EMR, billing, pharmacy and lab. There is no per-user charge, so adding reception and nursing staff does not change the price.
Does VixitAI HMS support ABHA and ABDM?
ABHA/ABDM readiness is included with the plans. ABDM is India's Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, and ABHA is the health account identifier that lets patient records move between providers with consent.
Can patients see their own reports?
Yes. There is a patient portal at vixitai.com/care where patients can view bookings and reports, and a public report viewer that releases a report after an OTP check. Patients can also follow their queue token on their phone.
Is there a contract or lock-in with VixitAI HMS?
Plans run month to month. Yearly billing is offered at a lower effective rate but is not required. Setup support and data migration are included with the plans rather than charged separately.
What does VixitAI HMS cost?
Four plans: Growth at ₹1,999/month, Pro at ₹2,599/month, Hospital at ₹4,399/month and All-in-One at ₹6,999/month, with yearly rates of ₹19,999, ₹25,999, ₹43,999 and ₹69,999 respectively. See the pricing guide for what each tier includes.
